Strong Roots Collective

How Tribal Implementation Works
Curriculum Licensing
Tribal governments and programs receive access to the Strong Roots curricula, including Rooted Beginnings: Preparing the Path and the Ogichidaa Fatherhood Leadership Initiative, allowing departments to implement culturally grounded family strengthening programs within their communities.
Facilitator Training
Strong Roots Collective LLC provides tribal-wide facilitator training so staff across departments can confidently lead the curricula. This training prepares facilitators to deliver programming in a culturally grounded and trauma-informed way.
Cross-Department Implementation
Programs can be implemented through existing services such as Maternal Child Health, Behavioral Health, Social Services, Family Foundations, and Fatherhood initiatives, allowing multiple departments to support families using a shared framework.
Ongoing Support & Partnership
Strong Roots Collective LLC partners with tribal programs by co-facilitating initial cohorts, providing consultation, and supporting long-term program sustainability as communities build their own leadership capacity.

Why This Work Matters
Across many Native communities, families continue to carry the impacts of generations of disruption to traditional parenting systems, cultural teachings, and community leadership structures. Many parents today are raising children without having experienced strong models of parenting themselves.
The Strong Roots Initiative was created to help restore those systems by reconnecting families with cultural teachings, strengthening parents during pregnancy and early childhood, and building the next generation of fathers, mothers, and leaders within our communities.
